You actually only get 4 changes and unless you make a new account rather than expand your current account, I don't see it reseting your number of jumps.

Personally, I think that is logical, and I would support that they should allow extra times for switching, however, I think there is another element that I, and some of the players are un aware of in terms of the regional acess I think.
I am too puzzled at this subject, but when I try to type Japanese to speak to some of the jap players I have met in PvP, the game would not let me entered it. Meaning that, it wont let me speak in japanese.

Logic doesnt apply. What ANet says, goes. Although I've heard somewhere that changes will not be reset this is unsubstantiated and therefore at best a rumor. You could try emailing ANet or asking Gaile if you are lucky enough to catch her in LA. Any information you get from those sources is definitive, all you'll get on a fan forum is speculation.

There must be a logica reason in which support why there is a limited times for the players to switch.
Very unlikely that they be doing this for the reason no other then, "cos I say so".
Therefore I disagree with your comment and find it rather, lesser in a stand value.

They do the limited number of account jump thing so that Favor of the Gods actually means something. If ye could switch whenever ye wanted, no penalty, not only does it defeat Favor, it also kinda defeats having separate server areas in the first place...
Personally, I figure we're lucky we can switch host servers at all. I never have and I doubt I ever will. Besides, as has been stated elsewhere, Anet is usually good about giving people one-time passes in order to get back to their home servers. If that means they're then stuck at home instead of in a foreign server, well hey, it's better than a Korean or Japanese player being stuck over here, huh?

Sorry, that should have been "Your Logic doesnt apply". Of course there has to be some reason behind ANet's decision (whatever that is), its just pointless to try to guess what it is rather than ask them yourself. On a side note, my post was not directed towards you. By the time I had finished composing mine, you had already posted yours.

In a recent Gaile talk she did mention server switches and stated it was very unlikely that they would be reset. It was either the last one or the one before it.

first off.
IT IS NOT AN EXPANSION PACK IT IS A FULL SIZE GAME
you can install it as a standalone game with full amount of server switches or you can merge it with the account that has used up its switches.
IT IS YOUR CHOICE
same for the slots you get as well between merged or not

The main reason for limited switching is as follows (IMO - dont flame me!):
You try the American server, and if it is more to your liking you can stay there. If you dont like it you come back. Then, after discovering it is extremely hard to even get accepted as a bog-standard Ranger, you go to America again. With the Presidential Election taking place, and John Kerry running for pres, the only choice you have is to switch back to Europe (John Kerry is old fashioned and sees games as a distraction to youth learning, thefefore bans all games from america and banishes Anet to Europe. With all Americans therefore banned from GW, and not being allowed to have fun, there is no room for a job (the fun scale is at 0 and a job would -5 which isnt possible unless u want to die.), all Americans are plunged into a state of illusion, studying to ssurvive.
So Anet moves to Europe, and all those clever enough to have moved to Europe in void of Kerry. The clever ones that did move, are usually mesmers or some kind of PVP usefullness. The people, of whoms accounts that are trapped in American districts are the dumb ones that didnt see this coming. Not discriminating any builds at all, but these are mostly aggroing Wammos. Thus, leaves the clever ones in a lag free european district. Mesmers now thrive in group finding. And the demand for Cripshot rangers has three-folded! Lucke me
So I probably have a WILD imagination but I had fun writing it!
